Medical and Therapy Services

For the convenience of K-B residents, a full complement of medical and support services are available onsite. Appointments with these specialists are made through our nursing staff.  Separate fees do apply for these specialists.

Geriatric Assessment Center

Our Geriatric Assessment and Outpatient Center provides convenient outpatient medical services by a team of board-certified geriatricians. The clinic is open five days a week, by appointment, to K-B residents and the public. Lab services and basic medical tests ordered by our geriatricians are also available.

Dental

A wide range of services are available including cleanings, x-rays, restorations, crowns, bridges, dentures, therapies, whitening treatments and implants.

Massage Therapy

Massage and spa services are offered by a certified massage therapist who works cooperatively with physicians and physical therapists to tailor a program that will benefit the individual.

Podiatry, Ankle and Foot Care

Foot care services include nail trimming, cortisone injections, foot arthritis and heel pain care, skin diseases and treatments for skin diseases, high arches and bunions.

Physical Therapy

Therapists affiliated with the K-B Physical Therapy Center provide on-site therapies including gait training, soft tissue mobilization, weight training, range of motion exercises and postural training. Therapy services also are available for hip and knee replacements, post-stroke, arthritis, osteoporosis and pain management.

Audiology

An audiologist is available to administer hearing tests for residents at King-Bruwaert House. Hearing aids may also be ordered through the audiologist. 

Hospice and Palliative Care

Hospice care is available by a physician's order. Hospice provides supportive services to residents and their families at the end of life, including additional palliative nursing care, social services, and pastoral care.
